This movie, The pursuit of happyness, is alot like this book in the fact that both main characters struggled. They stuggled with life and what they were doing. The main character in the pursuit of happyness, the main character struggled to provide for him and his son.Though he continued to try hard, things were just not going the way he planned. In the book, The Old Man and The Sea, the main character struggles with catching fish. He had been a fisherman for a very long time, yet he could not catch a fish for a while. Both characters struggle with something they cant accomplish, but in the end, things take a turn for the best.
